Kanada Edmonton Skat WM Gymsack Weltkarte

Dear Skat friends,

this August the time has come – I'm flying to my first Skat World Championships in Edmonton, Canada. And I'm taking you on this Skat journey.

From today the countdown starts, which should get you in the mood for the two weeks in Canada. I'm flying to Edmonton on 08.08. The World Cup itself will take place from 12.-21.08.

After I had registered for the World Championships, I immediately asked myself how I could share my skat journey with as many of my friends and acquaintances as possible. The solution is this blog, with which we can live through the World Cup together - with all the emotions and impressions I am going to make. After the European Skat Championships in Kirchheim in 2007, it is only my second participation in a major Skat event.

Our "itinerary" starts even before departure:

T -7: Jörg flys to Skat Wolrd Cup to Edmonton.

T -6: Getting to know the host country Canada.

T -5: Goals and Modus of the World Cup.

T -4: Let´s have a look at my accommodation.

T -3: How does the venue look like?

T -2: Who or what is the ISPA?

T -1: May I come up with a surprise?

I hope to inspire both skat enthusiasts and travel friends for this blog.

What aspects of this journey would you still enjoy? What else should I report on?

We read each other. See you tomorrow.

Yours Jörg
